    Wuz up TTR,
What a laaaaaazy day. picked up my load in TX yesterday and checked on the delivery time to see if a reset was built in. it was, so I decided to do it at the memphis, TN terminal. (laundry is cheaper at terminals than truck stops) . On the way here I saw a little white pick up pass me. On the back it sais "just married 30 years". I'm like " awwww,i wanna be married 30 years". Drove about 400 miles, and got here at about midnight. I'm checking my hours, and notice I can finish this load with the hours I have. So,i call my DM this morning, and tell him, he says do the reset, cuz your going to need the hours when you get into jonestown terminal, I'm wondering why?! but, since I'm in the dark with the mentor process...mama always said better safe, than sorry . Usually, il keep running till the wheels fall off, and just work with the hours I get back everyday "THATS HOW I DO YOOOOOO" lol. So, I've just been chillin today doin laundry and what not, and took a looong 6 hour nap. I need to get me a dvd player to watch movies on days like this cuz im boooored.

    Later,

    Whats good everybody?
Yesterday, after I finished my reset,i took of about tenish. Rocked 574 miles in ten hours, with a bit of rain coming down. navigation wanted me to take 71 n through OH, but the routing said 64E. I wasn't to far from there, so I turned around from I 71 and got on I 64. Lost about 30 minutes doing that. Left my window cracked open last night, and now I got a bit of a sore throat. Il be delivering around 16:00 today then I think they'll route me to jonestown terminal for the mentor class. I'm wondering what day they give that class, and what else I gotta do, il keep the world updated as I go along. In other words you'll know when I know .

    Peace,
    MRTWEETY

Mrtweety, your a funny guy--great updates though. Good luck on your mentor process. I will be taking the class too so i can train my son if he makes it through camp millington. LOL They say thats a tough place. I enjoy your posts--I am with you. My miles are out the roof too..some small some big..sometimes you gotta take whatever keeps you moving or what you can with the hours you have to work with. I also run off my hours coming back...so sometimes you do what you gotta do.

From my experience, If you go home around tuesdays--it dont hurt paycheck as much due to the fact that it spreads over 2 paychecks--fyi. If i go home on weekends it kills me that first week back out..so since i dont desire the need to be home on a weekend , I normally try to go home during the middle of week so i dont have to cry when i see that check. LOL

I am outta greer also and my miles are exploding...i have a great dm and i get tons of miles...last 5 weeks i only had 1 week less than 3200 miles and that was week of my hometime. Keep us updated.

    Good luck!

    MRTWEETY Thanks this.

A word for the wise, boys and girls:

Save all your extra pennies during this 'Pre-Christmas' boom-time. Freight tends to slow down during Jan and into Feb. Retailers allow their inventory to draw down because they must pay an inventory tax at that time of year.

Do not, under any circumstances, live paycheck-to-paycheck. Build a buffer for yourself. Get a 'fridge and a 'Lunchbox Cooker' and save yourself vast sums of money rather than getting fastfood or truckstop chow. Pennies count.

Alright everybody here we go. I delivered my load on monday or was it tuesday? I don't remember. Now here I am thinking their gonna route me to jonestown for the mentor class. NOOOOT! I get a preplan to OH that picks up in the same place I dropped, and delivers like 300 miles away. I accept, then message my DM. I ask him whats the plan for the mentor class. He respond with " you have to wait til march, you have to have 6 months solo, said the coordinator". My heart drops,i felt reeeeaaaally disappointed. I left it at that, and took off. on the way I get another preplan that picks up and delivers in OH, like 200 miles total. I accept that, and lay over in OH turnpike for my 10 ( all the service plazas on the OH turnpike have free showers) . I woke up the next day feeling disappointed about the mentor thing, and checked the guidelines online. I message my DM again.

Me: sorry to bother you again. Could you double check with the coordinator? I checked the guidelines, and it says 6 month experience..i have 8 months total.

5 minutes later I get another preplan that delivers in PA, followed by a message that says " lets commit to get you to the mentor class on thursday, your good to go. You the man DM. I deliver my load an hour early, which takes them 3.5 hours to unload. So now I'm late for the next preplan. I pick it up, scale twice. I'm at 12300 something on my drives. I check my map for the allowed weight in OH, and I'm good to go, or so I thought. I gery to the final at the dollar general DC, and they tel me I have to call in the morning to get a new appointment time. I got there with 20 minutes left on my 14. They had some parking for the trucks that were delivering the next day, so I did my 10 there. At 04:00 I get a message to t~ call at columbus terminal, and I head there as soon as my 10 ends. I go to the window to t~ cal, and the guy looks at my scale ticket. He takes a deep breath , and begins to scold me nicely on the weight on my drives. I play dumb, and tel him its because I have a full tank. He scolds me some more and t calls the load. Whatever makes you feel good brother, just as long as u take the load lol.
Now the hunt for the MT. No MT at the terminal, so they send me 17 miles away. I hook to the trailer . The yard dog comes up to me , and tell me the trailer is loaded. I tell my DM, wait a good 30 minutes, and get sent back by the terminal to a big lots DC. I hook to the trailer, get to the guard shack, and he tells me I can't leave with the MT without approval of some dude in big lots. 2 hours of messaging, and getting names and numbers of who to call. Drive up to the guard shack and TELL them the big wig said yes. They believe me, and I take off. Did who approve it? Of course! he's my close personal friend, see yaaaa. I get to the shipper with 2 hours left on my 14 , they load me, and now I have 20 minutes left. With puppy dog eyes I ask if I can park there. They just so happen to have a big parking lot down the street in their other building. SCORE! in the morning I get a message. " gonna send you to GA terminal for mentor class on monday, but come to jonestown to pick up your IFTA sticker". So , now I sit at jonestown, delivered my load, and a preplan to NC. stay tuned as MRTWEETYs quest for the mentor class continues sss

    Word,
    MRTWEETY

PS it took me 2 hours to write this on my dumb phone with swype, my fingers hurt.
