US Xpress

Well, two weeks of school down, two to go. I take my permit test tomorrow,..... wish me luck.

Today we had a recruiter from US Xpress come in. I have been doing a lot of reading on them and then listening to this guy today, I am thinking about going to USX.

So whats everyones thoughts? I know there are a couple of guys who dont think its a wise move due to their trucks being all auto but from the way it looks, in 5 years or so mostly all trucks will be auto. And there are some other reasons that I have read but being a newb, my options are limited...... arnt they?

 

We broke for lunch today and I stayed at the range to go over pre-trips. As ironic as it was, a USX truck pulled on the lot to remove his placards from a load he just delivered. I went over just to ask him what he thought about USX. He said he has been driving for 11 years and has been with USX for a little over a year. He had nothing but great things to say about his experiance. Showed me his Volvo which he keeps spotless! Super nice guy. Gave me his truck number and name and told me to look him up when/if I come to USX. Getting more and more excited about USX just based on some of the things he shared about his experiances.

 

Going to Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (Weirton, WV campus) I have one more week to go and then I take my CDL road and range test on Friday September 7th. WorkforceWV paid for my course.
