My E-7 has a real cold start problem. when it gets down to 30 this gal starts on 2 or 3 jugs and smokes, bangs and runs like junk for about a minute then it clears up...... whats that about?

Also, I'm told this B-1 330 engine is the same block as a 427. All I have to do is add heads, pistons and a cam....true?

And mine has the broken water pump bolt issue. I'm going to add the retro bolts with the sleeves ( from Mack ) ...... is this going to solve the issue or did I give Mack $35.00 for nothing?

the 5, E7 tractors we run have always started rough when it gets cold. either stay in the cab, or start it and run from the smoke. mornings around 20 degrees they sound like they are going to fly apart.lol

He is absolutely right. Every 460, 454 and 427 we use to run ran like crap when it was cold and put a smoke screen out like you wouldn't believe.

We'd just check under the hood, get in and mash the throttle down crank and let off throttle when it fires and then check the rest of the truck out. After the truck was checked out I'd idle it up and go sit in the car because E7's take forever and a day to warm up.
