Thanks Mike, looking at the RN fleet map (the on that screams *subject to change) it shows pretty much that. Though in my trips moving down to NJ from Boston the last month I came across a few wayward Roehl reefers on I-287 around NY and even a few the Mass Pike. Not nearly as many as the big carriers, but at least I have a hope that I might be able to swing by my parents house to say hi if I get sent up that way.

I got a ? for u guys. I worked for Roehl for amost 3 years. Left because my son had to have heart surgery. I've been driving local for Pepsi for the last 2 and half years. (18 wheels). Would I have to go out with a trainer or just class room and road test? I drove flattbed an then moved to 7,3,7,4 van before i left.

My husband is considering Roel. He has 5 yrs previous experience and 5 months recent. Previous was over 5 years ago as he decided to go to college and get a degree. :) Now the economy is pot and he can't get a drafting job after we moved so he's back to driving. Tried Swift *big mistake* and he's been with WEL for about 4 months. Hard to get miles and they really don't care about drivers. They tell you one thing, you do it, then they act like they never told you to do it and bad mouth you while making you do it 'their' way.

So, what do you guys think of Roehl? How are the miles for the national fleet drivers (out 11 home 3)? Do you actually get hometime and get to bring your truck home? How hard is it to get a truck as soon as orientation is over? This was one problem with Swift - no trucks for over a week. Any info is appreciated!

I answered a few of your questions on another thread...but as far as trucks go..right now we are a wee short..mostly because they are busy getting a crapload of new trucks on the road...but i don't think the wait is very long anymore...since most drivers tend to quit around the holidays...(I know sounds bad...but I mean it they don't like being away) You should be able to take the truck home...unless your in a hometime fleet because you slip seat then... I don't know if 11/3 is hometime off the top of my head...I don't think it is..someone else might know...

They told him 11/3 got to bring the truck home. He may be starting next week or after the New Year...don't know yet.

Current company (WEL) gave him a 3 mo physical and told him he needed a sleep study & get BP under control (it was good for a 1 yr card). Told him to get his own dr and get a referral and new physical. He did this last week. Now they tell him his dr is no good cause it's out of their network and he'll need to get an extension on his physical with them until his sleep study is done and his BP is under control (again, still good for 1 yr card). Don't know what they consider 'under control' but we do know they prefer their drivers have 2 yr cards. It's getting ridiculous and the lack of communication is just plain stupid. Not to mention he got less than 1400 miles this week!

Still wonder why he's looking for a new company? Lol :\
