Been looking at this forum for the past few days to try an figure a good starting point with regards to this trucking industry and which company will be the best fit. I'll be 56 this month and just graduated from Sage in Henderson, CO. Haven't landed on which company yet but I am leaning towards Schneider, JBS, and possibly May. I'm all ears if someone has any suggestions. I know I have some dues to pay being I'm a newbie but would like to find something eventually that supports flexible and often home time. I'm not looking to get rich driving but it is something I have always wanted to do. I have done all the management thing (12 years) and got there from the bottom. I just got feed-up with having to worry about and manage people. Now I want to drive and get some road time with a good company with decent benefits. Please remember I'm a newbie and have a lot to learn about the trucking world so if what I'm hoping for, as noted above, is a pipe dream...please feel free to set me straight. Thanks!
From what I have gathered after reading alot of the posts over the past few days there is a lot of good people out there and I look forward to meeting a lot of you down the road. Thanks in advance for any and all advice and God bless and drive safe out there all...gowiththeflo

Welcome to TTR! I suggest Schneider but i do work here and have for 7 plus years. I am a company driver switching over to the O/O side Jan. 9th Schneider's a decent company and a good beginner company. I enjoy working for them that's why i'm staying as an O/O. Good Luck
gowiththeflo Thanks this. -
Thank you TennMan. I have been leaning heavily towards Schneider as I have read a lot about the quality training Schneider has for the new drivers. Having some communication issue with the recruiter that I have initiated contact with. Any suggestions??? Thanks again!
