well during pretrip today I noticed an air leak in ye new truck. Got a short run near pittston and then in the am have appt for fix. Great night for driving. Cool crisp. Got to the 90 Americold in the pocono's. the road into the industrial park is iced over. That was interesting to figure out as it kept slipping. Slipped over to the middle and got traction when up a gear to reduce RPM and voila. tired though. is the new kitchen open at pittston yet?

Write the com check, send in the receipt, forget about it. 5 years at Prime, only have had 1 lumper not fully reimbursed, and it was noted in the dispatch that that customer only paid $125 a load (National Beef, Dodge City, KS).

did that thanks for the reminder though. I have not seen a fee above 150 it just seemed steep. But hey I wasn't going to uload then break down 17 pallets into the 56 they did. what was worse was the 6 hours I was there. But hey I needed a break and got to pitston an hour early. BTW the new kitchen is not open yet but close. Looks nice. Had not been there in months WOW starting to look like I Prime location.

Also of note was as I was pulling in the convoy of Wreaths across America was pulling out through the outbound fuel lane. Most were not prime guys. Pretty cool to see.

Well been a great first full week. Many of the runs were short but paid well. Looking back one thing I wish TNT or ACE I wuld have covered better is clock management for solo. It is much different in a solo truck. I have a better plan now. It wasn't that big a deal but much different and much more critical when there is no other driver to take over. Really the loads are timed well it is the delays at shippers/recievers that are a pain. Like yesterday i had a drop hook at 90 (my first in months) after I got my MT it took 3 hours to leave.
