Hi, I first want to state that I have never used any illegal drugs in my life. I have social anxiety disorder and have been diagnosed by a doctor. One problem I have is going to the bathroom in public. I just cant go when there are other people around. I was wondering how truck driver drug tests work. when you take them is there somebody watching you go, in the room with you or what? I know I could pass but being able to go with someone in the room could be a problem. Any info on how the procedure works would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

You will have a problem then. The only time you will not be in a public restroom is when you are taking a shower. The showers have a restroom in them, other than that stand in line to use the restroom in the truck stop or rest area. No privicy what ever. Some have no stalls either. What you have is stage fright. Don't know what to tell you except if you truck you will soon get over it or bust holding it in.

YOU don't always have someone in the room with you all the time when taking the urine test.
however....you will be instructed not to flush the toilet or run water.

After you fill the cup, you will hand it to the nurse. She will then check the temperature of the urine. Then she will divide it and seal the bottles. YOU will initial the bottles over the seal.
Usually the samples are sent to a lab for analysis.

I was answering his question on the drug test.

How he squirts the dirt is up to him which leads to addressing his anxiety issue.

Well DR. Monkey sees this as a misplaced problem. What seems to be the problem isn't always the problem!:biggrin_25523: You are looking at day one, the monkey sees the whole issue here and thinks this guy will have on going problems down the road. Now cyber lay down on the couch and think about these issues and tell me how it makes you feel!:biggrin_25523:

Eh he'll be fine, if he has been savy enough to use a restroom with nobody around this long he should be fine on the road, just stick with OTR and he'll have plenty of 'alone' time driving which probably attracted him to begin with. There are plenty of drivers out there that were attracted to the industry for the same thing. Hopefully he will be all drop and hook and stay to the shadows of the night as not to be bothered by anyone.:biggrin_25524:
