I know this question is probably on here somewhere, but I have been reading and my husband's wheels are not turning so I need quick help.
He has had two passed DOT physicals this year. He was sent a 3rd physical after an "audit" when the company found a medical condition that he had told them about in the original questions during the hiring process. When he went for 1st company physical his condition was mentioned but Doctor made no mention of it on medical card. So now, DOT examiner temporarily disqualified him until he see's a specialist. Specialist is going to take a month or so to get in to see. Furthermore, we have no health insurance because he hasn't been working for them long enough. I guess my question is if he gets another job and doesn't mention the supposed condition is there any way for this to follow him? The condition is no big deal. Believe if it was I wouldn't be wanting him to drive before being released. We are new to this and I don't really understand how the medical card, cdl and everything is linked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My husband quit a really good paying job for a career change, they let him drive for 3 months and did this to him a few weeks before Christmas. He waited for 2 months to make sure this was going well to let go of old job, and they waited until our insurance and everything had expired for this to be a problem....Please help.
