Absolutely! But doesn't it make sense to have security in place first before we poke more holes in what is already there?

That's what really gripes me... The Fed can sell anything to the American Public as long as it saves John Q. a few bucks...

Not so far fetched really. The current administrations inability to stem illegal immigration or at least CHANGE the current immigration laws concerning the number of LEGAL immigrants is not helping.

The fact that a growing number of Federal and State publications are now printed in SPANISH is not helping.

NAFTA is designed to augment trade between the US, Canada and Mexico. Of the three, which country has the most to gain economically?

And the fact that the number of counties in the US where Hispanics outnumber other races is growing. Who is assimilating whom?

Daddy Bush was trying to push the one world order.

Ronno is entitled to his opinion, as are the rest of us. Its no secret that there are many forces at work in the US trying to tear us down. I'll do my part as long as I'm alive but it isn't looking good. I'm glad that I don't have any kids.

Among some of the obvious reasons not to allow this program, I think it will only be a matter of time before the next big attack on America now. Guess we all need to be more fearful now.

The Mexican Truck Program is, in effect, installing a huge pipeline through the border. Maybe it's more "fear mongering", but that seems to be exactly the opposite of "tighten[ing] border security" to me!

Well ladies and gents, I fully expect to find more than "legal cartage" coming across the border. I expect more "undocumented workers". My friend has a more hair-raising expectation:

    1. Steal the truck (easier than bribing someone) and load it with a bio agent along with the manifested freight.
    2. Drive across the border with the paperwork intact, but with a phony license. Shouldn't be hard to do, illegals get them all the time...
    3. Deliver the hostile cargo right to the doorstep of one of our major cities OR ANYWHERE ELSE ALONG THE ROUTE!

Write your own end to the story...

It's not that I dislike Mexicans. It's that I dislike the greed and avarice of those who would compromise the safety of the American public for personal gain. That is how I view this situation. Pure, simple greed...

Actually, in my opinion, it is worse than greed, if there really is such a thing.... It's pure simple stupidity! They (the politians) are looking at short term, make nice games with Mexico... while you and I, the common working folks, are looking at long term safety and security. The politians don't have to consider this. If it gets too ddangerous here, they have the money to go somewhere safer, like Afganistan.
