Anyone get lucky and land one? I know a few guys from school that got one with England. Based on these boards I passed with them. Best thing I can see is regional for a new guy. Do big companies like Swift, Werner, or Prime etc... Take new drivers for dedicated accounts?

Best thing for a new guy is otr for a year! Very rare to get a good dedicated or regional run out of the gate. If you go into a company telling them you want to run regional and be home more often, you will. You will end up picking up and delivering everyone else's loads and doing short little runs. Do the math: 1600 miles a week at $0.25 a mile.

I think you are also getting dedicated and regional mixed up! Dedicated is the same run over and over and can cover 48 states. Regional is just running in a particular area such as the southeast or heartland etc... doing all different kinds of runs. Both are usually reserved for the higher ups with the company who have a proven track record. If you end up doing regional as a new driver that usually isn't a good thing.

How so? Schneider wants me to do the western 11. That's a bad thing?

I understand the differences such as a dedicated wal mart or dollar tree account. The western 11 is regional correct?
