Roehl Driver Check In

a wee bit here and there...I chalk it up to poor planning...they keep trying to pin me with short runs...short runs don't pay the bills...

I think I am going to run to gary...then take another 10 then I should be set up with a nice short to my cons...then hopefully a reset in gary cause they are running me out of hours quick...

 

So I am home...again. I will explain. So I get home yesterday at 1pm. Like I said in my last post, I missed my daughter's surgery. Thanks for all the thoughts guys. I am supposed to relay the load I was on with some guy coming out of upstate NY. When I get home I call dispatch and she says it will be later in the afternoon.

So like 4pm comes around and I call her to ask when this is happening, that I want to have a few beers but have been waiting because I might have to move the trailer to relay the load. She says he is stuck at the border and could I possibly deliver the load in the morning. I said no. My wife was like good for you. I say, they didn't do me my request so why should I do theirs.

Well she calls back to say he won't be able to get here in time to deliver the load. She offers me an extra day off and says I can deliver at 4am and turn right around and come home. Since its only 135 miles away I said o.k. I get there right before 4am and get this, appt is on their list for Monday! I was pissed!

I call the no help, night dispatch line, lol, and basically get the runaround. I had to wait till customer service could call the customer. Well that was 9am Eastern time. Well at the very least they got them to take it. Took till 1030am to get unloaded and I just made it to a Pilot to scan last weeks trips.

So I am home...again. LOL I am off till Wednesday and am going to enjoy every second of it. In fact, beer in hand. lol.

At the Flying Hook in Effingham, IL. Swapped trailers this afternoon to help a fellow driver get home. Headed to University Park in the morning to deliver.

 

Mine are actually up over last month.

At small truck stop in Dayton, Indiana by the Subaru plant near Lafayette. Headed to Alabama tomorrow.

 

Lucky you... mine were horrible the last two weeks. And to compound it, I find out I have a new FM come Monday. What fun..

 

made it to Gary...now I am just gonna take 10+ break and deliver 30 minutes away..just off 90...too easy..(yeah right)

 

At the Petro in Rochelle, IL. Have another 250 to finish up tomorrow. Going to enjoy a good meal here after while, any other Roehl guys here come look for me, I have a yellow shirt on, will be going in around 1700...

 

At the Hook in Birmingham, AL. Have a delivery about 2.5 hrs away on Monday but that means I get to take a 34 hr reset here...WOOHOO!

 

sitting at a DC in Hammond...15 minutes from the terminal...been sitting here all afternoon so far to get 20 skids off the trailer...this place is slow as snails...gahh...after i finally get unloaded I am going back to ROETG and get another 10...maybe 34 reset...we'll see

 

My miles are laughable they always suck in December. Also I'm in east st Louis headed to jax in the am
