If you hauled all 3, which one works best for you and why?

I have pulled all three. I have to say that I loath doing full load dry van freight so that one is the last on my list. I love running reefer (hauling LTL) and covered wagon (hauling steel) cause of thier own challenges associated wit them. Right now I perfer the reefer cause the rates I am getting are way higher than the steel rates I ever got.

I always have a reefer trailer. While I am hauling my own products 99% of the time, I can still haul dry freight if need be with the reefer as well.

Tarping and strapping a flatbed in rain, wind, snow, freezing rain.....no thanks! I get enough of that being in the Northeast.
