So you were a dispatchers pet and as soon as you lost her you quit. Then you tell us that even DTS, who says drivers are a dime a dozen, is better than Werner. That doesn't make Werner sound very good. Werner is not good for solo's, unless you like loading for netops, which most people don't have any idea what you are talking about when you say netops unless they worked for Werner, load then drive to a yard and drop for someone else to haul.
Don't do the lease purchase!

Well Gio it seems you have no facts to back up what you are saying!!!! And come spring i do plan on doing a lease with DTS what you have to say will not affect my plans to make a better future for myself and my family. just because you dont ever seem to have anything posative to say and seem to be mad at the world will not affect me. why is it your so negative about everything within the trucking industry? if your that unhappy find another line of work. it aint fair to yourself nor the ones around you to be unhappy all th time.

If you have a good driving record and want to help your family, UPS will hire seasonal drivers around the end of September. They will teach you how to drive better and how to pull doubles and you will make $18 an hour with overtime. Possible full time offer after the season, which lasts until after christmas, but most likely at the end of the season you will be out of a job. Then you can draw unemployment since you weren't fired and only have to check with the union hall once a week. While you are laid off you can look for a decent job. Fedex, Epes, Conway, Roadway, Yellow, etc. Or pull a tank with Slay, CTL, McKenzie, Foodliner, etc. All will make you more money than a lease with DTS. You will go broke if you do that. By the way, calling me negative is something a negative person would do.

 

I dont see her calling the guy a crybaby, she is just stating another side of the fence fact. He may be pulling from a differfent terminal, have a better DM/dispatcher etc. Don't knock her for her hubby doing well and paying the bills. I applaud them for doing well in the industry and maybe will give others some incentive at Werner to move to a different part of the company? Doesnt say she knows all about the company, but it is doing well for them so she has a right to stick up for a company that hasnt done them wrong.

 

STL Tow, I dont think Gio is trying to attack you only stating what he feels or may have experienced. Just try and keep an open mind on feedback. I amsure you have done your research and already weighed the pros and cons, as we all know that with any busness or jon venture we have possible risks. I hope for you and your family that you persevere and show the nay sayers wrong. I beleive that overcoming obsticles is 99% attitude in your job. God speed.
