Could be worse. You could be stuck in Wamsutter, WY with the road closed over Christmas eve and christmas day like I was in '09.

Well waiting to load at bear river city tomarrow. While sitting i have had a lot of time to think about things some good some bad and also a lot of questions to ask. I guess the questions would start of with is the way this international handles on the dry roads really concerns me getting on bad roads. Its likes to wonder all over my lane doesnt appera to be out of allignment, its got to be the most rough riding truck i have drove not sure what causes some of its problems any one else exp, this. Another question is i have the new cobra29 lx and it seems i cant talk on it and people dont hear me or if they get really close to me before i hear them, they get 1/4 mile and i hear nothing just a lot of static. One more question how are these super singles on snow and ice?. Ok onward lol i feel pretty crappy about not getting my last load delivered on time and my next load is even lighter and they are talkn about storms and high winds toward the seattle way that i am going, i hope its not a repeat. As far as home goes its kinda like a roller coaster and that really sucks, i guess i just need to vent on here, but i know it effects my attitude toward my dispatcher, well everbody and that aint me i have allways been the easy going guy but not lately it seems. I met a driver the other day that seemed really upset with May and had nothing good to say so i had to get out of there real fast i didnt need anymore negativity around me and normally i would of stayed and talked to the guy till he was over his anguish. Well i guess i have vented enough, all in all i guess May is my new family in more than one way. You all be safe,

Well me and Miss Molly are taking a well deserved break from each other and i am heading home for a few days. The past three and half or so weeks had there ups and downs , mainly downs however when i need to talk in person kathy is allways there willing to listen to me blab. Seemed like not many of our deliveries went well however i was delivering in riverside at vertis retail and i got there 4hrs early and the man in charge said if the other appts didnt show or late he would get me unloaded well they all showed andby the time i was unloadedmy 14 was gone, this was my birthday and i had plans well this manager guy let me stay inside the fenced area took me inside where only employees are allowed and let me use rest room and vending and then it was another persons birthday and they had cake and they gave me a big piece of cake for my birthday that was awesome. Anyways i was late for the very first time due to high winds which i hated, then was given a load around 4 pm or so from seattle to spokane which would of been easy enough except i hit rush hour traffic and by the time i got my trailer unhooked and hooked i had 5hrs left made it 64 miles from my drop before running out of hours so that made me late again. i wish that i would of been given the load earlier seems like i hurry to get unloaded then sit till evening then things go hay wire. It will get better though as will my pre planning, i get a little flusterd with that when it comes over the q-comm at times i know i drive them people crazy but that prob wnt ever change lol, well you all be safe

Well i am back at the Layton Terminal. I was suppose to be ready to roll in the morning which i am , however i had some calls on my phone which is shut off when i am off at home, we use my fiances then, well i guess i had a pre plan for 2 today so they gave it to some one else which i understand. Had some things for the shop to do on my truck everything but the most important got done, i was told that i have to take it to cummins doesnt sound right to me. I sure hope i can get figured out why things seem to be crumbling right before my eyes

Don't get discouraged this quick. Give six it months or so ( jk). The Layton guys do a pretty good job. The engines are computerized and require specialized equipement. It is not unreasonable to defer to Cummings. Next time keep your phone charged and in your pocket. Good luck.

Anything that is covered under warranty will be sent to the dealer for repair. If they screw with it in the shop it could void whatever might be covered. From what I hear, our techs are not certified to dig into trucks and do major work anyhow.

Hang in there bud. My first 6 months were really tough as well. Stick it out for a year if you can, you've invested a lot in this career. Be a shame to hang it up now.

I think the mechanics, techs in Layton are great. The are very thorough, everyone there has a passion to fix things the right way and fast. Better than any Pete dealer I been too.

    sky king Thanks this.
