They wouldn't tell me how high their score was but said it was everything, unsafe driving, equipment/ vehicle maintenance, log violations, speeding, accidents.... :biggrin_2552:
Saw a Covenant driver another day with a missing mudflap... he said he knew about it but wasn't very ambitious about having it fixed... :biggrin_25513: even knowing that from now on we'll have to enter every open check station....
Unfortunately, many drivers in this company don't understand much about CSA and how one driver's action may affect everybody in the company :biggrin_25513:
I must find another company. I am not happy with recent changes at Covenant. They have changed to a newer computer system recently and everybody is still learning how to work with it and fixing the glitches. In the meantime, things have been a little chaotic and making this job more difficult for me.
I'm trying to find a smaller company, with a good safety rating, APUs, etc, etc,... It is not easy... a lot of searching to do.

There's usually only one reason to ask that question. I don't think they do, but if you have a major, or fatal accident, you can bet the other persons lawyers will get one.

Big Wheels was solo for a long time and had to become a trainer so to make some money.

I am solo and get miles because I am in a good dedicated account. If it were not for this account, I would be in another company a very long time ago cause I will not become a trainer and will not ever team again. :biggrin_25512:

I went to Covenant being told I would be solo, after I did the "refresher course." During the course I was told "we are a team company." I wanted to go solo with my dog, which is what I was told I would be. Needless to say, after passing the refresher course, I was told I had "team status." No dog.

Covenant is apparently great of you're a team......I won't say anything bad about them....If I wanted to do team, I would be ok, but, with my dog, I only want to do solo.

I'm still at Covenant. After a brief research I realized I am not ready to leave what I got for something uncertain (at least for now). Had darn elog installed in the truck and I am coping with it.... *sigh* There are some things in this dedicated account that I got used to and really like and afraid will not find something that good or better somewhere else. Besides, my dispatcher was very VERY nice to me this yr when I had to travel abroad for a couple of months to take care of important matters and he was very supportive, caring, helpful.... and not to mention my load planner who is an extraordinary professional. Covenant has been expanding their business to owner operators. So far, I have talked to three drivers who said they are doing more money now and are satisfied with it. If I could commit to the payments right now, I would probably get into their program as I would like to drive my own truck and this seems like a good way to start.
