Hello, my name is Eric and I just got out of the army after 7yrs. My MOS in the army was a heavy construction equipment operator and always loved trucks and dirt as a kid lol. I'm hoping to soak in the knowledge of this forum and learn from past experiences.![]()

Welcome to the industry. I hope you are going to a good school. My school just gave us the minimum to get our CDL. Keep a clean record and you will go far. Don't get frustrated. Once you are out there that is where the true learning is. Of course, I had a good trainer. Very patient. If you have a question while you are out there DO NOT be afraid to ask an old-timer. I have learned so much in my short four years from old-timers. When you pull into a truck stop the first thing you should do is shut your CB off. No need to listen to that crap. Especially if you are having trouble getting into a spot.
