Downtown LA waiting for these slugs to open the place up. Had an 0800 appt time. Hope sales realized it was Sunday when they scheduled 3 trucks in here for this am.
Have a pre-plan for a nice revenue load out of Yuma back to Boston. Hope we don't have to give it up cause this place is closed on Sunday?

Get while the getting is good. Probably will stay to your north... May get some over the Cajon Pass: As of 7:17 am...

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the mountains of Los Angeles County.

The weather service predicted rain and possible thunderstorms at lower elevations Sunday through Monday, with showers continuing through Tuesday. The storm system could bring 8 to 10 inches of snow above 5,000 feet in Los Angeles County and 3 to 5 inches above 4,000 feet in Ventura County.

Motorists may encounter winter-like driving conditions on Interstate 5 near the Grapevine, Interstate 14 through Soledad Canyon, and Highway 33 through the Ventura County mountains. Lower elevations may see heavy rain Monday.

The weather service warned of a potential for flooding in the San Gabriel Valley because of drainage problems caused by debris from the recent windstorm in the area.

Thanks, was just looking at the weather on the web.
Still waiting on this place to open so we can unload and get out of here. It really doesn't look like they are going to. Prime has 3 trucks here and we all had am appts. Weekend dispatch isn't the greatest at making command decisions on taking these loads and dropping them at the Ontario yard.
Guess we sit and wait a while longer.

Not the first time that sales had us delivering on a day the place is closed. Prolly my biggest gripe is the appt schedules. One load needs to be run at 60 mph just to make appt. Then, you can be on this load from Easton that delivers in Wallace, NC at 0600 Tuesday. I'm here now, taking a 34.
It is sunny and in the mid 50s though.:biggrin_2556:

You don't have to worrie about I/15 as you won't be taking it if your going to Yuma Az. Look on the web for the company you are delievering to, and see if the hours of operation are there.:biggrin_25514::biggrin_2557:

Doesn't always work. 1. Receiving hours can be different than hours of operation. 2. Companies that have lots of locations (WM, Tyson, Cargill, AB) don't have the hours posted. 3. Use your ringy-ding-ding.

In Easton Maine at the McCain plant. 70 is about done. Should really reset. Msg'd dispatch asking if they had a load with extra time on it or do they want me to reset. Their responce was reload in am. IF I end up reseting in this dirt lot, I will be pissed. If they would just say reset, i'd go to a ts where there are bathrooms and food.
