I would take this as a learning experience. Females should always be paired up with female trainers. Still I would talk to a lawyer.
very upset

For them that have issues with what the op has posted.
What if it was one of your family members. Would you call BS on them.
I think not. So why is the op full of it. were you there. This type of thing happens everyday and never gets reported. Look all around you at what is being reported now after years and years have gone by. do any of you see the news, Look at ( PA.)
I do not care how the spelling is as long as you get the piont!Aubrey Allen Smith, Female Driver and Mastertech Thank this. -
You have his name, his truck # go above Covenant. File a police report. Even if nothing happens, it's still on file. And I would do the same with Covenant, File a report with the BBB, ATA, OOIDA, FED DOT, any big organization that has to do with Trucking. Did you have a cell phone with a camerea? Did you document dates, times, actions, conversations? All these things show that YOU took the time to do this because it was important and wrong. The agressors will not. They get comfortable and lazy and can't remember anything in detail. AND never let anyone tell you you can't talk to the company. They all have 800 #s and there is still pay phones around. Not only that, but I know for a fact someone would have let you use their phone, if you would have asked.
ONE MORE THING, YOU HAD THE RIGHT TO DECLINE THIS PARTICULAR TRAINER. ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR GUT.Aubrey Allen Smith Thanks this. -

I think women feel they have to work harder to be accepted by their male counterparts; possibly some, but not the majority.
I drove for Swift running 48 states when I first got out of school and saw both professional women drivers and some not so professional (pink flip flops doing a drop-n-hook in a gravel industrial complex) However, the company treated everyone the same; run till you drop, 34 hrs at home. Rough on the family.
Of the two, I liked Schneider the best. I hope a day cab opens up here in C'bus as I will go back in a flash. -
The problem is lately the poster is intelligent and purely capable of making a normal readable post.
They get on these cellphones and are too lazy to use the extra keys to shift and use punctuation.
You can tell the difference.
I would add to that rule to encourage posters to attempt proper sentence structure even if they are on a cellphone. That's not a disability, nor lack of ability.

What bothers me the most is that semi-literate nitwits such as this are proliferate in our industry. That's what EVERYONE should be upset about.

When did trucking become an industry requiring so much as a high school diploma?
I personally know drivers who can't read or write. I can't even begin to fill their shoes.
........nobody claimed they were OTR drivers. Before you ring that bell.Last edited: Dec 11, 2011
Injun Thanks this. -
Sorry to read this. I can see how someone could be "bullied" in this fashion. And there is no excuse for the company to simply dismiss the allegations.
But trucking is best left to strong-willed people. If a man or a woman can not immediately stand up for themselves in this type of situation, you will likely be bullied into doing something dangerous towards yourself or someone else in the future.
I voted that you should stay at WalMart. -
Babygirl27... sorry for what happened to you.... I am a Covenant driver (female).... There are some male pervert trainers in this company. The company offers no support for female drivers. It doesn't help them to team up, most trainers are males (I heard about one female trainer almost 4 yrs ago... not sure if she is still there though). Had a female friend who went through some sexual harassment during her training and(or) her teaming (can't remember which) at Covenant but she stayed in the company and later on went on TV on a documentary with Dan Rather about training and mentioned Covenant (but didn't expose half of what happened....) She drove for Covenant for 2 yrs or so but then was injured and left company. But while she was there, she got them by the balls.... Anyway, if you intend to file against Cov. you will need some proof... pictures.... I am not a lawyer but with no proof it would be your word against theirs... Anyway what exactly is on your DAC report??
Aubrey Allen Smith Thanks this.
