Watkins & Shepard - Paper or E-logs?

We are on paper logs but I use the laptop logbook software. It uses the same format as the paper logs but makes it easier for my personal record keeping.

 

Regardless of who you choose, make sure you completely research that company(ies).

 

They were testing them in some trucks but haven't decided to ditch the paper logs yet. I know one company guy told me recently he was on E-logs so I guess they have a few they left up and running. I personally wouldn't mind killing the logbook. It's a hassle to make it neat and keep the whiteout off it.

 

ya you might wanna stop thinking that. W/S will not be a very good place to work on E-Logs . The Eden/Edison run cannot be legally done on E-Logs no way around it, and if it isnt done in oneshot it would be a very sheety run.

Running shortline now, I wouldn't mind elogs as it wouldn't change anything for me personally, but knowing what it takes to "run" OTR I wouldn't want them for the rest of the company...
