Lol.. 4G smart phones are the best thing to ever happen in the history of yard trucks.. I'm a nerd so I'm on USA Today and E-Trade..lol..

 

If I work an 8 hour day in the yard, Id say on average about 2 of those hours are me sitting there waiting for them to call something out. And if theres nothing to move, I clean up the yard the best I can (putting dollies up that the #### road drivers leave wherever they want), but even still, I end up with a bunch of time where Im not doing anything. That does make time go slower.

 

Huh? I'm not sure what you're trying to say man.

I have enough seniority here that I was able to take a year off of night line-haul and driving period to run a yard truck so I did.

I was just down in N Va this weekend to visit my best friend so I still know the area. She lives in the Shirlington area of Arlington and I haven't been south of the I95/I495/I395 split since last December so I don't know what's going on down there. Probably a lot of construction.

 

Yup.. That's why 4G phones are fantastic.
