Funny thing about it, that's the way it used to be. And don't forget my gold bond trading stamps. Sometimes I sure do miss the old days. And don't forget a dollar off my meal with 50 gallons or more.[/QUOTE]

How about free coffee all the time just because you were a driver.

Picking up a load of shingles that delivers beside my house, so I get to take my break at home tomorrow night.

Why is it necessary to tarp shingles??? Haha... I guess if that's what they want, ill make it happen!

If your tarp won't cover it completely you can ask for some scrap shingles to fill in the gaps.

Sobe and Vitamin Water both have wide mouth openings. And, of course, there's 18 wheels to choose from. :biggrin_255:

I sent a letter to certein asking why there shingles need to be tarped on my trailer. But they can last 30 years on my roof? If they can't last 24 hours on my trailer un tarped how do they last on my roof for 30 years? I have yet to get a reply. LOL

    That's funny.

How about TMC tarpping all that hey they have ben running down to Texas? That looks like a real pain in tha butt. You pick it up untarpped out side in a field then deliver to a field and untarp it ????

Just arrived in PA with a steel coil from SC. Glass is about done for the year I guess. All the glass guys that I talked to while loading haven't had a glass load in a week. That's true for me as well. Seems to be a lot of steel shipping right now, year end specials of something. I'm just glad Maverick finds a way to keep us running.

Ive done some roofing in my time. The reason they want them tarped is to keep the paper wrappings from becoming waterlogged so when they are carried up ladders and such they stay togeather and the shingles dont fall out everywhere. However, most building supply outlets store them outside! and they end up shipping to the jobsite wet and fall apart anyways. :biggrin_25510:This is with Owens Corning GAF shingles, some brands are shipped in plastic wrappings which shouldnt matter. By the way always buy GAF shingles over other brands, they are the best.

    seawheeler Thanks this.
