What is sad is these morons who just cant say,,I Served and leave it at that,NO we have to always be something that is so unreasonable to believe,,,

It seems as if I only run into former

    C-130 Crew CHiefs
PJ's (Airforce Para Rescue, all were in Somalia)
    Force Recon( USMC)
Special Forces (Green Berets / Rangers) all in combat other than Desert Storm,Iraq/or anything that ends in "-stan"

A couple of my favs were the driver
(while we were watching Black Hawk Down, mind you) says to all of us,,"Remember it like it was yesterday",and then points to his ankle, says took a Somali AK-47 round right there!! I and 2 others LOL at him,I told him ,,DRIVER if that was true you would be 4 inches shorter on that peg leg,OMG

Another was in the 1st Infantry Div(forward,as in Germany) and according to him (their jungle team) and sent to the Phillipines to fight Al Quaeda,,,

Then there is Navy, there is always a guy that claims to have rode back seat in a F-14 Tomcat,,and of coarse the pilot gave him the controls, sad thing is a F-14 has no rear seat flight controls

Then the Vietnam Vets that will claim the outragous complicated stories and be precise right down to the most minoot point and when you ask them Hey What unit was that? answer is ALWAYS either I cant say or I cant remember:biggrin_2554:

    Oh the stories:biggrin_2559:

As a rule Specops usually don't admit or advertise their role. Just do the job and do it well. usually the newbies mention it but are quick to learn otherwise. It's a shame the ones who pretend to have been are probably the same ones who protest these same hero's. #### wanna be's. Good Job and Merry Christmas.

It is insulting to hear that crap. I knew a guy who went as far as to make up a fake military ID so he could eat free at IHOP. True scum

In my experience those that were there do not talk about it, those that talk about it were not there.

"Ask and ye shall receive: Pictures of the #### bag poser that got busted this weekend. If you know him, point, laugh, and ridicule.
When asked, this young wannabe said his name was Sam Jackson (gee, why does that sound familiar?). According to his story, he is assigned to the 331st Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard Camp Pendelton (not to be confused with the 331st Logistical Studies Unit out of Ft Griffin)."

This was about a month ago.

I used to know a guy that claimed to be some kind of "Black Ops" hotshot...I heard him spout off once too often a few years ago and I got up and called him out on his bulls_it...He got up and I knocked him down and then "cracked" him a few more times while he whimpered for me to stop hitting him.

When it was over I told him "I never want to hear that #### again because if you were what you claim to be....I'd have never landed the first punch!"

    He doesn't come around anymore.

There is nothing I love more than exposing a fake "vet." Met one in the TA in Denver that was in the middle of telling us how he had served with swartzkopf in Vietnam. Only problem was a quick Wikipedia search told me he had all the wrong units. Sad state when those of us that did serve and lost friends have to defend their honor from fakes.
