Just wondering what everyone thinks about the ISX with the EGR from what the dealer told me and it has the auto transmission in it.
Has 750k on the ecm and I am picking it up for $18,700. Super clean freightliner.
I have just heard horror stories about how expensive they are to work on when they break down?? Please help me make up my mind on this truck!!!
03 freightliner with auto transmission??

You know the drill used is what you see until you explore. I would say the platform is good but it could be a change from what you are used to.
Like all things expenses are part of the package. Best of success on this deal. -
I was just wondering how the auto trans are holding up from anybody that has one?
-
I would steer clear of the Ultra Shift trucks, these are the ones with only 2 pedals (no clutch pedal) as I have heard they are really hard on clutches and when it breaks you're stuck.
I had a Gen2 Autoshift in my old IH and I liked it but I had to shift it in manual mode because in auto mode it would jerk and not shift as it should. I also would up having to replace the X-Y controller and the wiring harness as they went bad.
I honestly would not buy an automatic unles it was one of the new Mack M-Drive's -
I wouldn't buy an auto shift used. new mabey but not used. the guys I know who have regret it. the ecms and wiring have tons of problems and are very expensive.
