I figure 30 minutes for a drop and hook . 15 minutes for each trailer . It would seem logical a posttrip would require more than 15 minutes because a written report has to be done .

Hmmm, I've always been told you just have to put in 15min for a d/h.

As for the 1 hr and 45 min before I dropped & hooked,,, line 1.

(The guard said they weren't ready for me yet and directed me to the drivers waiting room where there was a caffeteria, a bathroom (WITH a shower!) and a small arcade. and they paged me back to my truck when the load was ready. Best waiting room ever!)

Who's to say it DIDN'T go down like that?

When I was OTR I always logged 15 minutes for a drop+hook, never more, and never once had any DOT say anything about it.

Man u cdl guys really go through alot of Stuff i guess you even have to log when u pass gas or go to bathroom. They have so many rules for logging i dont have to long unlesss i go over 150 mi on way. So we just run 150 mi radius. In IND /KY OH.But we r still under dot rules max 26000 over that trouble.

It's not rocket science.....If you can read the regs and understand them...You can run with little to no problems....

Your job as a CDL holder is to know the regs just as well as DOT....Otherwise...Get out of the cab and go find a job at McD's......
