Most of the loads relayed because of HOS limitation, pu by teams.

 

JCT has plenty freight. Soon as learn to dispatch it in complaince with HOS, possibly will be awesome company again...Team driving is probly still real good here. Thats what I hear from the Teams I talk to.

 

Thank you Granny, i just might do that someday. But for now im gonna' be back to regional foodservice in a couple weeks 60k+ a year with bennies & vacation is soundin' preaty good about now, not to mention i was home every 2 or 3 days. Hell, lookin' back now im not sure why i left. Guess i just got caught up in wantin' to own my own business again, too bad it was'nt what i thought is was gonna' be. Gonna' preaty much ruin Christmas this year, but i'll get back on my feet shortly after i get back at the old gig, at least i know what to expect there. Merry Christmas everybody and good luck to you all. I'll still be here for two weeks, don't know why but i just can't leave any job on bad terms. P.S., If ya' pass a Golden Corral in a couple weeks give a honk, i might be throwin' groceries there, lol.

 

I would'nt count on that unless they give a pay raise or lower payments to offset lower miles. As far as teams go, yes they should have no problems as they're not realy affected by elogs because the truck can still keep rollin'. Keep in mind im not on elogs, still on paper. It really does'nt matter anymore with the way there tryin' to match GPS to logs. A person could still make a livin' here as a solo if they don't need to go home much, but the days of the 4k+ mile weeks are ending fast here.

So is JCT a good place to go and do the lease to own program? Is the pay good by doing the lease to own? Is there anything that needs to be warn about with this company?

 

I read the whole thread, talked to a lot of JCT driver, and every thing sound good so far. The bottom line is that, good or bad is up to how you make of it as an individual. It will not matter if the company, the program they set up good and you don't know how to utilize that to help your self. Just my thought

 

golden corral? you gonna be with mbm? i ran 8 years with mbm foodservice out of montgomery al! or is it sygma or mclanes?

Hey BigR-How are you?I've pretty much read the bulk of this thread and your(mis)adventures.I always hope for the best for everyone.Maybe it worked the way it did for a reason.You did get to see some places and get some experience maybe you wouldn't have otherwise.You know how tough,challenging and fun this choice in life can be.You obviously left a well enough impression with your previous employer for them to want you back.

Now my other thought-Your Christmas you had plans for won't be what you thought it would be.Right now.What i would do,and this is me,in a month,two months,whatever time frame it is,have your own Christmas.Either surprise your family or plan it together.They went through this with you.Y'all deserve it.

Whatever happens after this,again i hope it's the best for you.Take care of yourself.Brian
