changing volvo ecm parameters

    do you have to have development mode of PTT/vcads to change ecm parameters such as road speed?

    yes. I have. But with cummins engine you cant do it with VCADs. Do it with insite

    well i have cummins insite, and i have volvo vcads... but not development mode. how do you get it? i need to change several parameters in truck such as RPM, road speed, and we just swapped a tranny out with a straight 10 speed and the speedo doesn't work, so ecm needs some work.

    With cummins engine you need Insite only

    In order to set parameters on Volvo, you need to connect with Volvo central systems. Take it to a dealer. Need a certified Volvo tech w/ passwords to do that.

    Then your version of vcads isn't like the one I use @ work. Must be a hacked version or something special.
