I have worn fingerless gloves from time to time, WHILE FRAMING A HOUSE! I can't stand any kind of "driving gloves" between me and the wheel. At least now I know not to be "tempted" to use them as a driver, its going to be tough enough as a newbee. Dont want to give you all TOO much to laugh at at one time!

That sounds like the stories I heard about guys reaching though the steering wheel to shift both stick at the same time on the old Mack trannies, which made no sense because I never had to do that.
I'll tell what's a wrist breaker. For those of you who know your power tools, an 1 1/2" hammer drill can be very dangerous, especially with a core bit. If the rebar in the wall or floor catches the side of the bit it will grab on you. -
...my trainer pointed at a spinner knob on a parked truck at the Love's, and said he'd have one on his International wheel, but as a trainer, it wasn't allowed...
...my claim to shame was rolling Kite tobacco while driving on that avatar's steering wheel while driving. -
That is too funny. Good shot. ROTFLMAS

I wear boots, straw hats and a big belt buckle too. Boots because they're just plain comfortable, straw hats because they're ventilated yet keep the sun off my shaven scalp (and I kinda like em anyway), and the belt buckle was made by my father when I was a kid, from 2 pieces of pipe and an Eisenhower dollar coin (tails side out to show the eagle flying over the moon, despite the lack of an atmosphere...)

I'll skip the gloves, but i'm keeping my cowboy hats and boots. I agree about the hats, best sun protection around. And the boots are easy to get on and off. They do suck on ice and snow though, probably need to use the loggers then. That is one cool buckle, i'd keep wearing it no matter what anyone said!

I had them install a roof in my truck, really solved that old problem of sun shining down on my head. Talk to your shop guys, maybe they can rig one on your truck as well. -
A roof?? Wow, you must work for one of them there fancy schmancy companies that probably even put seats in ur truck instead of a milk crate.
