Dude why would you do that? I guess whats done is done go get yourself the FMCSA load securement guideline book and watch lots of you tube videos lots! Good luck Driver. PS its better to add xtra tie downs...and don't over tight soft loads.

United Rentals just bought RSC. Better find out what the long term plans are for that branch before getting into a job that may not be there in a few months after they merge both companies.

united bought rsc ? wow i work for neff rental never heard anything about it . as far as the rental buisness goes be prepared to get lots of overtime in the summer and save it for the winter , everyone has slowed down here in georgia. If they are anything like neff they will try to rush you only go as fast as you feel comfortable going , im surprised they would hire someone without securing expeirience . one of our drivers left rsc to come to neff if you have any question i will try to ask him for you . usually within the company every branch is ran a little different . just depends on the brach manager

I don't want to sound like a prick here, but securement on machinery in my opinion isn't nearly as difficult as flatbed securement of various loads. Most of the equipment has tie down points somewhere on the frame and a clear thought process going in to loading a certain type of equipment will make it pretty painless.

I personally would be concerned if you have no equipment experience. I hauled equipment in Florida, mostly construction types consisiting of front end loaders, back hoes, track hoes, and dozers and it can be nervewracking to say the least walking those up on the trailer. If you don't think you can confidently operate the machinery then you need to be upfront about that, the securement process can be learned quickly, but the confidence it takes to put machinery on those trailers isn't just something that comes over night.

trashtrucker you are completly right the the first time i had to load a kobelco 200 excavator on our dovetail i had to change underwear afterwards , another hint if you are loading or unloading a rubber tire skid steer it is easier to back it on and drive it off those things a heavy in the back and will flip backwards onto the skid plate it'll scare the crap out of you

i work for nes rentals. like they say you will be working over time and at a fast pace. just be comfortable with what your doing. its not hard to tie down equip. they will prob send you with another driver for a couple of day so you get the hang of things. it wont take long to get everything down and get into your own rythm. i have never had really any down time in the winter. they are a pretty big company so you have a lot of diff. equip. if you dnt know just ask the other driver. each branch prob has 2 to 3 drivers. youll get the hang of. nothin toit. i have never gotten less than 50 hrs a week. but not every rental company or branch is the same.
