Don't let it bother you ORD. U2 just likes to pass along the unhappiness to anybody possible. Also, this is an internet forum...an internet forum. You're not a bad*** for "putting someone in their place" on an internet forum...

    Keep doing your thing ORD.

Is it wrong to be proud of accomplishing something? Giving the huge drop out rate in trucking and the amount of people who screw up, especially in there first few months.

Ord has not only done a great job but he also opened people up to the flatbed side of prime. Give him credit where it's due.

I'm sure you're a good guy u2. But there are lines.

    OpenRoadDreamer Thanks this.

Thanks Seebs! DA1 is on the flatbed side now too, along with a few others. They can answer questions just as well, or better, than I can.

    Hi all!

First post here, but I've been visiting the forums every so often. I'm a lease-op in Reefer, looking at switching to FB next spring after freight picks up.. but I'm undecided on what to choose.. either OTR, or Texas Regional. I've talked to a fleet manager in both departments, but wanted to get some more input from actual FB lease ops here. I'll also be keeping my current truck since Leasing will let me.. plus, I don't want to loose my lease completion bonus. Anyways, I live in San Antonio, but I never see any FB's there at the yard on the south side so I don't get a chance to talk to anyone.

Pulling a reefer was nice, but I rarely go home, and I'm looking for more home time. I know in the Texas-Regional it's home every weekend, but I don't know if that's something I can afford. I'd rather keep making what I make right now, and go home every other weekend or something like that.. but my biggest concern is income. What do the lease flatbedders usually make? And about training.. I was thinking about just doing the bootcamp. I've been driving with Prime for 2 years now, and I come from building and tearing pallets to be transported on aircraft so I'm somewhat familiar with the fundamentals of securing. My biggest concern is the downtime for my training and getting the truck get new equipment put on, since I'll still have to that #### lease payment to make.

ORD, I think that U2's post was not intended to insult, but to just explain. Some people are up front like that. You should really consider cutting him some slack. I have met him in person and he is a good man. Congratulations on your PTC. I will be proud if I achieve this as well.

U2, you might want to consider the impact the words have and then adjust the content to adjust the context, so as not to incur these second order of effects.

    Merry Christmas Everyone....
