They are hard to get on with, but once you do...NEVER let it go, I worked for OLd Dominion, and my buddy works for Estes, and they pay excellent, good equipment, and they work you... some of thier policies may seam strange, bt Its a small price to pay to make 70 K plus a year, and many of thier drivers are in the 80K range

Estes is a good company. They really seem to treat their employees well. However, if you are a local driver, you wont get overtime until after 55 hours a week.

    How Ironic
I have a date to go to Joplin next month-just in case Estes doesn't come through. How do you like Con-way? Are you with Truckload or freight?:smt055

I'm was with freight. Due to personal reasons I can't and do not want to run OTR. I don't mind staying out a day if need to but I'd prefer to get home every night.

As for freight I liked it and hated it. Enjoyed the work but hated the flex/extra board. I had to call in every morning at 6am to see if I'm working. Out of a three month period I only worked 15 days, the others were part-time dock work so they didn't have to pay anyone overtime.
