Should be a piece of cake. I paid my way through College running my Truck Friday through Saturday sometimes a Sunday. The only problem is I’ve graduated, but I can’t get trucking out of my system. I’m cursed.

Not difficult to believe considering you live in NW Indiana. The devil is in the details. Not knowing anymore background on your's versus his situation it's not so cut and clear. Everyone's circumstances are different.

You are right about not knowing the details of the situation. The OP was just asking if its possible. I have experience doing the exact opposite of his scenario. Currently I don’t work the weekends and usually only spend one or two nights a week in the truck. Works for me. So its definitely possible.

I have always wanted to truck drive. My plan,if feasible, is to move to weekends Fri-Sun. 36hrs paid 40. Keep all benefits. Plus 2mnths almost vacation and holidays. Which would leave me Mon-Thurs to drive. And plan on trucking full time when I would be eligible to retire with benefits from regular job. That would cutout the biggest yearly expense and risk, health ins.. And I could concentrate on other expenses while driving. But like you say, thats in a perfect world.

You are missing a major point, which several have tried to tell you.

ALL COMPENSATED TIME HAS TO BE RECORDED ON YOUR LOGBOOK.

This means the weekend of 36 hours of work, will only allow you to work and drive 34 hours the rest of the week.
