Yeah, truckstops do sell CSA2010 handbooks that detail how and what affects drivers. So much conflicting info out there from drivers confusing matters.

WARNINGS do not affect CSA – Citations or violation on inspection. I have had two inspections with minor warnings on them and my CSA scores show clear.

When the officer fills out an inspection sheet and it states No violations then nothing is there to affect the CSA scores. When the officer fills out the inspection and shows say warning seat belt. This will affect CSA scores. Now if the officer writes a ticket for the seat belt but not an inspection form then nothing goes against CSA scores.

Only an inspection that states no violations found has no adverse affects on a CSA score. Anything other than no violations found on an inspection form, whatever they are in point value will go against your CSA score. Perhaps the minor ones on your inspection just haven't made the database due to backlog or something.

The inspection form is the key element. No form filled out equates to no CSA violations. The form filled out with anything other than no violations, warning or a citation for anything equates to a hit on the CSA scores.

I thought all states reported differently and that is one of the complaints about csa is no uniform reporting. I received a burnt headlight warning citation it was only a warning but it is on my csa. it was in texas so i don't know if it depends on state or not.

That is correct, a light out is worth more points than a speeding ticket.

And agree with the others, TARP YOUR LOAD PROPERLY! Nothing worse than a trash truck going down the road spewing who knows what out the back.

When I was a trash hauler we didn't have those automatic arms that still leave gaps around the edge of the tarp. We threw net tarps and used bungees!

I called the law on one speeding trash hauler spewing paper I followed and they never bothered to come.

Where ya at man? I live in the south suburbs. I have a couple good lawyers. It's gonna cost ya though. And if the ticket was in any part of newton county then your stuck with it because they will not budge on anything.

I stand corrected. After digging into my CSA ratings I found the warnings on there. ####, and it was for BS things. And one was something I had asked about in my DOT audit and was told something different. But when given the warning was shown the actual text. The other I'm going to fight. It was for not having registration on my trailer. He wouldn't accept what I had saying that wasn't it. In IL the perminant registration is also the lable they use for mailing the plates. It looks like a temp. So I went into DMV and was told that what I had was correct.
