If its hazing, I've heard using plain no frills toothpaste or aluminum polish compound.
If it's actually crazing, these are small cracks and won't be removed.

Hey guys I'm new to this site and am talking with Alice about coming to work for Millis so far so good projected start of training is first week of Feb . My question is since I already have my class A License would that alot me & a trainer more drive time during the OTR portion of training?
-
Hey Bear63
They actually sell Headlamp restoration kits , I would think a truckstop would sell it -
Yea I know they sell kits. This is just a few possibilities to save some $ and do it cheaper. I don't know if it works or not, just what I heard.
As for drive time, it depends on your trainer. Technically you should be doing 90-95% of the driving anyway after the first week or so. -
I've heard guys advertising to do it on the cb. Can't remember which truck stops though. Just wondering if there is a cheaper home remedy. They do have the small cracks in them so I will see if they will replace them on the next B service.

Couple of questions,
1. How do you guys handle faxing/mailing in your weekly proof of delivery or what ever you call them?
2. I would think that while out with the trainer I wouldn't need all the gps's, xm radios, basic quality of life stuff, are you dispatched through home when you get your truck to pick up your "stuff". I wouldn't think the trainer would appreciate you dragging that onto his truck. -
1. Millis uses postage paid trip envelopes. One for each trip. You can drop them in a mailbox or at a terminal. We are paid on the honor system which means you are paid by the Qualcomm info as long as you get the bills sent in to them in a timely manner.
2. MILLIS will route you by your house for time off once you get your truck. Of course, if you are new I don't recommend filling your truck with distractions from day one. Ease into it and concentrate on trip planning and driving. I don't use a gps but I do use google maps on my phone to aid in trip planning and finding addresses, but ALWAYS verify your route with the atlas. You can also request directions through the Qualcomm. GPSs will get you in trouble if you rely on them.
