Cant pull the "lever" on the tandems unless the trailer brakes are set on Prime trailers.

We have air actuated tandem pins.

Even if the trailer brakes are set and someone decides to pull the "lever," as soon as the trailer brakes are released the pins automatically extend back in place.

Which means the tandems cant slide unless the trailer brakes are set.

If the pins didn't set through a hole properly on a tandem slide that is sticking, they can slide back on a hard brake... but just until a pin manages to engage one of the holes.

He's not talking about a moron driver that doesnt know how to set his tandems and rolls down the road with the pins between two holes. The pins arent going to skip any holes anyway. They will set at the first hole they come to.

He's talking about someone surreptitiously trying to screw with your tandems slider.

And, actually, I did have the morons that don't have the pins all the way in the holes in mind ;)..

Depending on the wear of the pins, they could slide past the holes. I've had it happen to me while trying to set tandems.
