Reading Material for School Prep

    I am planning on going to school to obtain my truckin license this spring. Hoping to get laid off and take the school, if not, I will have the money saved up. I am just wondering what books I can get that will give me a ton of information on the road test, written test, just anything in general about the whole truckin experience. It will be nice to have a good base before I start school. I live in southern Ontario. Thanks!

    Check out the truck and AZ MTO books that you can get at any Canadian Tire. Aside from that, start checking out training schools.

    Hey man I have been down the road you’re looking at. I got laid off from printing, I was a 1 st pressman on some big komori and Heidelberg sheet feed press. I got hooked up to second career through EI, there was a bit of leg work on your end but if you do it right they will send you to school. I did a lot of research on places and programs that offered the best and most recognized in the industry. I came to rest with Humber ITAL. The information they empower you with is just what you need to get your driving career on the road. When I walked away from Humber ITAL I went from a G class driver to a full AC. C class is a written test from the MTO. It is to drive a charter or City bus. After I left Humber I went to work for 15.00 hr with a local transportation company, Not so good but now I got a shot at some killer chance so I’m grabbing it. 1600.00 week to drive 2011 kenworth T700 from Abbottsford BC to Winnipeg for 3 months going to be crazy but woooo its time to drive.

    Your living the dream my man. Good to know theres a lot of opportunity out there. Im a press operator myself, breathing in welded metal all day and getting bossed around like a Dog. Cant wait to leave that ######## and get on the road.
