Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

I start my training on Dec 27th. I am looking forward to a new start in my life. I have been in the Automotive industry for over 10 years now. It's time for a new challenge! I will be doing my training in Fontana, Ca. Is there any driver trainers that are scheduled to be in the area around Jan 12-15? Any good advice will be most helpful, and appreciated.

 

Unless you are actually a legal resident of Georgia you will be shipped off to West Valley.. It has to do with Georgia law...

 

And good luck getting a straight answer from anyone.. you will figure out what I mean when u get to utah.

 

I never had an issue getting a straight answer out of anyone at Central.. Guess they don't like dead re-animated elves...

Central is actually in West Valley City a major suburb of Salt Lake.. You will sometimes hear us call it WVDC (West Valley Detention Center) because Maintenence there is fond of red tagging our trucks and you can't leave the compound until the red tag is removed.

There is a terminal in Fontana, CA, Henderson, CO and Irving, TX as well as the one in Conley.. Though Irving, TX is actually run by Central Freight, which like us is owned by the same family that owns Swift..

 

Ok thanks for the info, we live in a suburb west of Houston. Havent yet found out where we are going for training, but was assuming it would be at Conley.

 

If your in Texas you will be going to Utah.

only ga residents go to conley. your better off going to slc thats where the headquarters are and you'll need to learn that place and the people there espically the payroll dept, safety. and the shop. plus slc is soooooooo much nicer than conley.
