DO NOT WORK FOR USA TRUCK...I WAS WITH THEM A SHORT TIME AND MY TRUCK WAS IN THE SHOP MORE THAN I WAS ON THE ROAD. IF YOU DO WORK FOR THEM FIND ANOTHER COMPANY.THEY HAE BAD MANAGEMENT.
TRACY COPELAND IS ONE OF THEIR FLEET MNGRS AND HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS DRIVERS. I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT,WHILE ENRTE TO MY DELIVERY.MY TRUCK JUST SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIING,LUCKILY I MANAGED TO STEER ON SHOULDER I CALLED TRACY COPELAND AND TOLD HIM I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED AND HE COMMENTED WELL YOU WERE NOT KILLED WERE YOU!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THIS COMPANY WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE MILES.IF YOU LIKE SITTING AT A TERMINAL WAITING FOR 7 DAYS FOR YOUR TRUCK TO BE REPAIRED THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU. I HAVE BEEN IN THIS INDUSTRY ALMOST 30 YEARS,I HAVE NEVER SEEN A COMPANY TREAT DRIVERS IN AN UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER.
MY QUOTE... DO NOT WORK FOR USA TRUCK...

Well, you were not killed were you? What did you expect him to do? Congratulate you? Feel sorry for you? Send you flowers?
What interests me, what they did to fix the problem? Did they take care of you afterwards?

Most right out of school drivers say the same thing they exsect to make all the money and all the miles but guess what welcome to the trucking industry its every where you go most of the time they only last 6 months or less life out here is not the best but when i get home on the weekends and my lights come on have food in the fridge money in my pocket kids and wife are happy to have a roof over there heads it makes it all worth what i have done for over 15 years so just get over it and drive the truck

Does anyone have any good opinions on this company? They called.. want my husband to come to orientation, just want to make sure he's headed in the right direction.... the small guy he's been with for a long time is getting ready to close up shop so trying to explore the best options to keep him rolling out there.

To be honest Swift would be a better choice. Up here in Bon Aqua there is a reefer company called MPS they were wanting 5 years experience. I know nothing else about them.

I have never worked for USA. Went through school with some people who did. Also a friend just left them recently. I am so glad all the phone calls have ended where they were ######## about USA. I know what they would tell you.....RUN AWAY

How many years of multi- state, 53' trailer expeirence does he have? If his record is clean he should have more options then starter company like USA, im sure they are an OK company for a student drivers. Ryder is looking for drivers over at the Mt Pleasant yard or maybe these guys: http://www.mt-pleasant-trf.com/index.html

He's been trucking since 1979, record is fine just the little guy closing up shop & needing to keep him rolling somewhere so we're looking. He's hauled mainly flatbed, stepdeck, lowboy, heavy hauling/ over dimensional loads... pulled vans too & that's what he's looking for now.

Thank you all for your input! It's appreciated :)
