It is nothing like cbus.
the roads are narrow, the traffic sucks, the drivers are rude. There is no parking, don't get to a truck stop after 5 you won't have anywhere to park.
Everything is toll, and even a lot of the truck stops CHARGE to park up here!
I hate driving up here(as I sit at the crappy pilot in Sturbridge, MA on my way to Jersey) Glad I am going home Friday LOL, although I know when I come back after Christmas my butt will be right back up here. -
Is anyone here familiar with Schneider's intermodal terminal out of Chicago? I put in an application for it. Scored five out of five stars on this evaluation test. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Looking for some input before going much further. Thanks

Good luck with the pee pee.

buffettfan, the few driver's i know who ran it or run it have all said good things as far as home time and even pay they did however conplain about the ports or terminals themselves and that sometimes the delays. I have pulleda cpl out of there in the past but thats been 5=6 years ago i never had a big issue with it but i didn't do it everyday either. I will say i did not care for the traffic but that's irrelevant to the freight. So being your from there it probably not an issue with you. Good Luck and Merry Christmas
Buffettfan Thanks this. -
Made it home with 5 minutes to spare. That was close. Guess my week is over there is zero freight on the board. Well, three dallas loads for $1.08/mi. Those are normally $2/mi, no thanks

It is 43 degrees here at the Dallas OC. I would say it is perfect. However, there is a handful of guys who are idling. Wouldn't really bother me if the guy next to me wasn't idling. I don't mind the motor noise. I hauled reefers for years. But really? 43 degrees?
I have a bunk heater in my truck. Now my truck is not a OTR truck. It is a small truck. Flat top. Do any of you have OTR trucks? Do they have bunk heaters? Mine works great... -
Yea every Schneider truck has an Espar or Wabasto bunk heater in them, but you'll be seeing idling trucks year round when it makes no sence at all. Beautiful 75 degree day and idling everywhere. I'm in the 3rd row in Dallas right now and noone idling near me, I lucked out tonight it seems.
