No need to get into the legality of a Woodhouse . The back seat of a pickup isn't wide enough to meet the requirements of a DOT sleeper . The RV transporters that stretched the frame and installed a DOT sleeper didn't do it for no reason .

hey hatya, I see your member on Garys forum, that's a great site with alot of good advice, but its not the way all of us run, you can set up you own accounts or run cars on wedge, make decent money and be home every week and not killing your self and equipment. if you look around you will see most everyone who was hauling rvs has moved on to something else. It may look good for awhile but it will catch up with you.
just my 0.02, take it how ever you want.

Ya i know there has to be a better way, all these empty miles could be producing some income.

Gary and his brothers say they dont have much in this area and are mostly west coast. Im in Northern Indiana .

I know some good people that had some bad experiences with Gary . I've had some run ins with him myself disputing bad info he posted . I never bothered joining his forum because he'll ban anyone that disagrees with him .
Yeah , they give great advice there , like getting a new VIN plate for a 3 car wedge for 10,000 lbs. so you can register under 26,00 lbs. GCWR

I Hot Shot oil field equipment in The Great State of Texas and our surrounding states. I use a one ton Dodge CTD and a 40' dual tandem deckover gooseneck trailer.

I am not out overnight that often, we do get called at odd ball hours though. Most of my hauls are 500-700 miles round trip. Sometimes longer and some not, the other day I loaded at a down hole tool manufacture 5 miles from my house and hauled to a rig 20 miles from there. It does happen at times when it takes a while to get off loaded at the rigs or sometimes they are wondering around like kids at a easter egg hunt looking for my back haul. So there are times when I'm out overnight.

Most of our companies are on a 60-90 pay schedule. Some guy's use factoring companies to get their cash flow going sooner when they start out if they don't start with the necessary capitol.

If you are seriously looking for a way to make more money with your truck, oil field Hot Shot is a good way to go. It's not the only way, but I really like it and it helps to support my growing family. If you would like more information feel free to shoot me a PM.
