Anyone shed some light on why we see DeBoer trucks pulling orange Schneider trailers? Did Schneider buy out DeBoer??

One thing that has been brought to my attention is that many companies, schneider is one of them, are leasing their trailers out to other companies. This would tend to explain many things to me. Many times I have made deliveries to Home Depot and seen Schneider trailers being used for storage. Other times I have seen a non Werner carrier pulling a werner trailer. Don't know if this is true but it would tend to 'splain a few things.

You can go on Schneider's website and buy old pumpkin trailers.

Schneider has some/a lot dedicated business with Home Depot, trailers there could be part of that or it's simply HD keeping trailers and paying detention on them. Schneider has something like 50k trailers, they're bound to sit places from time to time and get "borrowed".

AFAIK - Schneider doesn't lease their trailers to anyone, other companies might pull them as "house carriers" for various large shippers. You'll see a company pulling an orange trailer but it's from plant to warehousing etc.

Of course there are also some drivers that just hook to any trailer with a number on it and get loaded, it happens.

Saw a guy pull into a Budweiser place once after picking up an empty Miller trailer (and so badged). That didn't go over well.
