If there are less than 500K miles on it, it will probably be under warranty and Swift won't have to pay for it.

But it bites that you got a POS truck. What all's wrong with it?

It has 422k on it. Basically there was soot all over inside and pieces had actually melted apparently. He mentioned the DOC had to be replaced along with a couple other things. This an 08 Columbia.

From OKC to San Antonio...at customer now for an 0800 live unload.

Edit, if I have time tomorrow I may stop by the school. I know someone posting is there now but can't remember who.

Funny you mention that. In Davenport,IA chilling in a hotel. Just got back out yesterday, no wipers when I pretrip so they have me dh to Gary. Get that fixed and get a Sears load for today going to Omaha. Finally get a trailer and rolling and stop in the 1st Iowa rest area, on the way out check engine light comes on and I can barely get rolling.

Good thing for me a Volvo dealer was about 6 miles up the road so I limp it there taking about 3 miles to get up to 60 mph. Turns out the EGR valve is sticking open so they have to replace it and its a real pain I guess to get to it. Still under warranty by 1500 miles. On the plus side they had a deal with a nice hotel $47 (Swift is paying since engine is ripped apart in shop overnight) and they have a nice pool and free breakfast because I used the Volvo shop's rate. Hopefully now I can get my dm to hook me up with a nice Christmas run once I'm out of the shop.

Zuki, go down tye trailer line and bang on the sides of the trailers. If a trailer sounds hollow, look to see whether it's sealed. If it is, write the number down. If not, open the doors and look. If it is empty, write the number down. Get about four to six numbers and call your DM. Don't waste your time with the people in the office unless OKC is your home terminal. If that's the case, go in and talk face to face with your own DM. Run those trailer numbers past your DM. He or she can tell you whether it's empty and being hoarded or if it's loaded. Chances are, you can get one of the empties (if you found one) attached to your truck.

    Zukimart Thanks this.
