I have a 96 mustang and had the same thing happen. After a few hours and trying a whole bunch of different belts I found one that would work without the compressor.

As others have posted, probably better to try back after the 1st of the year.

The recruiter and office staff are probably on vacation till then.

Though I still find it hard to believe they would schedule a training session so close to the holidays - but this is Swift we're talking about.

Ding, Ding, Ding ... we have a winner. Same thing used to happen to my Plymouth Voyager ... just short belt it and get on down the road.

Actually, that's when I can get rescheduled. Probably won't be until the 1st or 2nd week of '12 when training will finally start. I should have clarified that.

Now another thing, (in terms of the "show off an old Mustang to his classmates" comment) Main reason for choosing to drive was NOT to show off my car. Rather it was to gain a bit more experience in planning out and choosing routes [plus it would have allowed me to get around a bit better after class].
Too bad there wasn't a way for either meineke or myself to know that the A/C compressor assembly was going to fail like that. They told me the car was in good shape when I took it in last friday for maintenance. Oh well... #### happens.

Don't mind me. I yank everybody's chain at some point. Mainly to see how they deal with it. You got yours early on, so most likely, you won't have to put up with it again. Unless you say something silly that requires highlighting.

i started with Swift, went to Orientation first week of Jan 97 B/C (before cellphones) then got sent home for 2 weeks waiting for trainer...... Then after 6 weeks with trainer from hell. i went home for a week again. When i started bishing again they found me a truck in another state, and it was brand new with 27 miles.
Moral of the story: gotta start somewhere....:biggrin_25518: Cuz, irrelevant since 62
