Fmcsa releases hours-of-service final rule

A lot of words...No "real" changes.

I see nothing here that will have any effect on me whatsoever.

Well it will never satisfy the "safety" groups, so im sure the will drag the FMCSA back into court

 

Hours of service laws are what I like to call "feel good laws"...

Similar to gun control laws, they might make certain idiots "feel good", like they are safer because of these laws, but in reality they do nothing.

 

It's going to hurt those guys on paper that draw 11 hours straight of drive time every day. They'll have to figure in a 30 minute break.

 

Do it before Jan, it's $25 a year instead of $40.

I wonder when OOIDA is gonna file the lawauit against these HOS rules?

They should of done it the minute they came out to piss LaHood off, but how would he know, he's home counting all the money the teamsters and the activists groups paid him.


Oh, and when we're FORCED to take our 30 minute breaks, just stop where ever you are, highway, interstate, middle of an intersection....

 

Yeah that'd be me. The good news is i have a year and a half to rub the shippers butt about the fact i'll be a half hour late with their air freight.

 

There's that CAN DO attitude that made this country great!

 

When driving in bad weather I almost always drive between 1am and 5am there are not nearly as many bad drivers on the road driving in the ice and snow at these times. the 34 hour reset thing is going to screw me in other ways as well..

 

I agree they will be out with a vengance looking for every and any mistake.
