Do you trolls even bother to read the posts before making comments.

Trainees make .12/team mile or $600. Whichever is more.

Regular Company teams start out at around .40-.41/mile split between both drivers. That doesnt include the .10/mile team bonus for each mile over 3500 or the fuel bonus of up to .04/mile. Those bonuses are split also.

The company Trainer running team while training a trainee makes the regular company team rate minus the trainees wage. So he is making at least .28/team mile. Plus the team bonus, plus the fuel bonus.

So back to your statement. If a truck runs 5000 miles, that is $2000 base milage plus $150 team bonus plus $50 fuel bonus (.01/mile is kinda easy to do)

Thats $2200 gross for a company team to split at $1100 each.

Same scenario, but company trainer with a trainee. That is $2200 gross for the truck, again. However the trainee is making $613 (.12/mile) and the trainer $1587. (The trainee gets 25% of the fuel bonus)

The trainee is garaunteed $600 minimum no matter what the truck does as long as he is on the truck available for dispatch the enitre 7 days of a pay period. Thats why they say trainee pay is .12/team mile or $600, whichever is amount is greater.

Let’s see, out of two choices.
    1) Go to a truck driving school and pay in the neighborhood of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 (+ expenses) to get a CDL. Yet still need to get OTR training, which means starting at a low per mile rate. Also there is no guarantee of a job when you finish.
    OR
    2) Go to Prime on the bus for free, with only change in your pocket plus the $100.00 admin fee and $32.00 permit fee. Free room and board for the 4 days you are at the Campus Inn. A $200.00 weekly advance so you can survive while getting your CDL. Obviously you have a job after you get your CDL. Receive $600.00 minimum a week while you get your OTR training. Minus the $25.00 a week, if you took the $200.00 a week advance. Ten days to opt out if you change your mind. Owe nothing if you stay on a year or only half if you stay only 6 months ($1750.00), or the full $3500.00 if less than the 6 months.
    Hmmm????
Maybe it’s just me but it doesn’t sound like Prime is bending anyone over the barrel. I rather have to come up with $132.00 versus $5,000 - $10,000. Where I live I would still have to pay for room and board or travel 3 hours a day round trip for a month, so I would have to add that figure to the mix.

Yeah, and the Trolls can never come up with a company that does better. They all run down Prime, but NOT ONE has posted another company that can beat what Prime is doing.

Keep the cash and sign on for a year after training. You're way ahead at that point.
