I wanna be a truck driver and after reading all of the company complaints on here, I have put them together into conditions of employment for any company lucky enough to hire me.

Please let me know which company I should choose.

    1. I want to drive 5000 miles per week.

    2. I want to be home daily, in time to watch Dr Phil...

    3. I want 100% no touch loads.

    4. I want a fridge, stove, flatscreen and PS3 in my sleeper, do companies provide these? that's what the recruiter told me, nice guy btw.

    5. I want the company to have someone come meet me at the truckstops and pump my fuel for me, cause it is stinky.

    6. I want a "Commercial Company" expense account. For those lonely nights on the road.

    7. I must have my own dedicated DM and Planner, available 24/7 by video monitor. even better if I can interview these candidates myself and tell the company who to hire.

    8. I want a brand new truck, and I want to pick the color scheme. It must match my cape.

    9. Professional Dry Cleaning services would be nice, too. but I may be willing to bend on this one, if needed for negotiations.

    10. I want silent reefer machine, so I can sleep at night.

    11. Dedicated traveling mechanics and chain application/removal specialists, but I would be willing to share them with other drivers in the area, for a small fee.

    12. 50 cents per mile plus $25.00 per hour for loading unloading time. I also want to be paid for breaks and reset hours while I am at home watching DR Phil and Dave Ramsey.

    13. I want my name painted on my truck, even better if we can delete the company name. I may be willing to budge on this and just put my initials up.

    14. I want to interview and pick my Trainer/Mentor. Make sure he showers and doesn't fart too much.

These are mere suggestions for any company that would like to hire and train me. I have read all of the complaints about companies on here and took everyones advice and think that as long as I can have these conditions met, I can make it a year at any company lucky enough to hire this future super trucker.

You don't need to be a supertrucker to be happy and make money driving a truck. Stay away from OTR trucking as much as possible. Just get yourself into a good Union company and you will have a career as opposed to just a job.

    Sorry for any spelling errors.

    Drive safe

Those are all the things recruiters and headhunters promise.

If you could have it so easy, you'de be a Congressman, not a Trucker.

Who'd want to be a Congresscritter anyway. Having to spend all that time thinking up new ways to screw with people has got to be exhausting! I'd rather be king...:biggrin_2559:
