I am at my shipper for my load home...alot of H2O...I think its funny they ship it in temp uncontrolled trailers in the winter...figured it would freeze and be a mess....funny thing is my load comments say I can't fill the tanks all the way or I will be over weight (picking up 45k...have hauled 46k before w/ no issues)..but my routing gives me a f/u in beloit.....so I will scale out to see what my weight is after I get loaded and make a judgement call...

    TheTank Thanks this.

Oh and was surprised to find not only a Christmas card from my FM, but also one from Rick Roehl and a check! WOOHOO, thanks for paying for my beer during hometime!

That was a nice present out of nowhere. Decided to buy a nice dessert for Christmas dinner!
    Thanks Rick!

Yeah, that Pactiv load looks heavy but nice and light. Much better than the load I took up and down the mountains of PA. From CT to PA. 25-30 up hill and brake brake brake all the way down.

Oh btw...I am home sweet home...and two bourbons down...LOL

Just tell you're not a reefer driver. And see if they get you off it. Like there isn't a reefer driver within 250 miles... whatever.

This was always how I'd get home most times. If we let em they'd forget about us...

I agree. Tell them you want back on flats. You are making less money per mile pulling reefer (though probably getting more miles). Anyway, just be up front, you did them a favor pulling a reefer, great, but now they need to get you back on a flat load if that's what you want. Sometimes I had to pull a van load to get home from somewhere, but my fm always got me back on flats ASAP, but then again he didn't really like me on vans to begin with.

Made it home yesterday afternoon, looking forward to my vacation with my family... See you all after the 1st, be careful out there and Merry Christmas!!! The card and check from Roehl was great, Thanks Rick... I also got the ATA jacket in the mail, and it is pretty nice too. Enjoy your families and be safe as you travel to see family and friends, and remember to leave the driving to someone else if you drink!!!
