An old newby

    I’ll try to keep this brief. I’ve always loved trucks and, probably like most boys from the 50s & 60s, wanted to drive one. Even as a kid, the idea of not having a boss looking over my shoulder appealed to me. Went military aviation, then white collar. Came back to an interest in diesel engines through working on them in boats. Eventually got a job teaching diesel techs. I’m too close to 60 to take up driving, but I’m thinking about picking up an old truck, just to play with, in the not too distant future. That will be another thread…

    Anyway, thanks for having me and I look forward to learning from those of you who are doing what I’m teaching.

    Welcome to the forum keelboats. I'm sure your diesel expertise is more than welcome.

    If it wasn't for trucking, I'd probably be on a boat. I almost took a tug deck hand job once. About as close as I come.
