Received a strange phone call on my cell phone yesterday. It was so & so calling about catwalk. The caller said they had been told I would be interested in their truck driving job.

I asked how they got my phone number (it is on a do not call list). He said I was referred to them. Would not say who did it. He asked if I was interested and I asked in what and who was he.

He finally stated it was JBHunt. Blew my mind. I flat told him not to call again and hung up.

After hanging up I thought I should have asked if they could meet the 1000. net I make each week when I decide to work.

Do-not-call lists are good, but they expire. Some are set to expire soon, as the laws regarding the DNC lists were passed only a short time ago. Make sure your name doesn't drop off the JB JobHunt DNC list.

A noble sentiment, but meaningless if those in power above said dispatcher decide to play obstructionist for whatever reason.

Also, most of the drivers I work with are nonstop complainers, and they wind up ruining things for those of us who actually have legitimate issues from time to time.

Allow me to take this time to remind you:

When you get a call from us, and you want off the call list, DO NOT IMMEDIATELY HANG UP THE PHONE-THAT DOES NOT REMOVE YOU FROM THE LIST. We transfer you to the desk with the person who has the correct software to take your Phone number directly out of the system. I don't know why we don't have that setup, but it could be more complicated than I think it is....who knows.

If dispatchers and others are being canned as frequently at JBH (with some even being led out the door by rent-a-cops) as I've heard, I'd say those on the highest rungs at JobHunt don't trust you lower guys with that software. Some couldn't resist abusing it.

He was asked 3 times how he got my number. He would not cooperate.
I told him twice to never call the number again. He just kept going forward with the sales pitch. I lost patience, I was in heavy traffic, and did not care to hear from again. If they call again, MY ATTORNEY and the States attorney will pursue. The call has been documented.

They have violated federal law. Maybe I will then own JBHUNT.

Let me ask you this:

1. Have you entered an internet application online SOMEWHERE before, Ever?
2. Do you know any relatives that have possibly heard an advertisement or seen a flyer and gave us your phone number and name and pretty much said "Call this guy/gal?"

If I were a JobHunt driver, I'd might be lookin' all over for names and contact info of drivers I could submit for the referral bonus. Anywhere a driver left something with his name and number on it, I may be there close behind him snatching up a scrap I could turn into a bonus. Of course, this is theoretical, as it will happen about three days after doomsday. Understand I'll be working for SwiftQuit the first day or two after doomsday, which explains why JB would get my driving services so late after the end of the world.

Now, if I were still driving, I certainly wouldn't be driving for JobHunt. That's for #### sure. I'd definitely make sure nobody would ever find out my name. I'd give people a fake name to cover my tracks, lest I start getting unwanted calls from JobHunt wanting me jobhop to JB.

I would NEVER work for any company, trucking or otherwise, that was so desperate for help they would pester me to try to get me to hoppity hop from a present job (that may be good) to something that is completely unknown.

The only problem with that is once you get to orientation they tell you the position has been filled. I worked for JB for a year and a half, and saw it first hand MANY times. :biggrin_25513: They then tell the driver he has to either go OTR or go home. So that poor driver just waisted 2 or 3 days, depending on when they tell him the regional position is not available.
