Sorry to here about your experience. All men are not preverts like that but some are. Trucking is a good job. Do not let that get in your way. Go to a good driving school and then be more selective of a company. And make sure about there training policies for women. Especially if they are trained by a man. Take care have a Merry Christmas.

The comment I made about some male pervert trainers in the company were based on stories I heard from former female Covenant drivers. I never had any major issue with Covenant. I left Roehl Transport after a bad experience with a female trainer and at Covenant I felt welcome. My training went ok. Talked to new VP in Operations at Covenant a couple weeks ago. He is pretty aware of the issues and the negative image company has. He has a plan and his goal is to change that. They intend to upgrade all of their programs, their hiring criteria, safety records, service records, etc. I have given him and to HR dept some good ideas and I encourage other Covenant drivers to do the same.... And I will be very glad to post comments on the improvements as they happen.

No way should you have to put up with that kind of treatment. Continue on with training somewhere else if you can just make sure you ask for a female trainer if one is avalible of course. Don't let a trainer BS you around like that either. Most truck stop have a team shower option even if the card only has one shower you can opt for a team shower which will give to showers on a single shower credit but if not there only $10.

flyby poster (2 from OP) ??? the truth? What is the truth? My gut tells me the OP has gone like the wind.... She (or whoever) has magically faded into some obscure place in cyberspace. On the other-hand Covenant will just go on being Covenant.

You can take that to the Bank, Darling!:biggrin_25510:

P.s Unless legal action is backed up with solid evidence it is her word against the driver-trainers and the case is moot. But as Truckerdesiree attested to there are legit cases that need exposure. I agree with the comments she posted here and I am glad someone is able to provide substantiated evidence to back up the accusations. I also agree with her comment regarding hiring and training at driver mills (Mega fleets) that produce steering wheel holders instead of professional drivers.

Another wonderful story about a rookie working for a credible company.

How can someone believe her? She is a low life rookie who can't read or wrote properly. She must be lieing!

What kind of people go around making horrible accusations like that about some truck trainer. This can't be, a trucker who is a low class slim ball and a company who would disregard a driver like it is lower then scum. This can't be!

    Insert sarcasm eye roll.....NOW

Sorry bout your luck. You might not want to hear this but you need to stand up for yourself! Period. First sign of this you should of said PULL OVER NOW. CALL YOUR SUPERVISOR!
I know I will get sht for saying this, but you let this go on. Next time make a stand. Don't be afraid. Being afraid gets you no were in life!

I have a question about this type comment.
People always talk crap about the Mega Training Fleets saying they are CDL Mills, Bottom Feeders etc ...

    1) What constitutes a CDL Mill?

    2) If you shouldnt go to a Mega Carrier for training, Where should you go to get your CDL, and where should you go for training.

    3) How does the training differ from the CDL Mill and the Company you speak of?

    1) CDL Mills are places that take your money and get you a CDL with very little training.

2 & 3) It really depends on the individual. I trained with a Mega company and had no problems.

A lot of problems end up being with the individuals. They are completely unprepared. They have no idea what they are getting into.
