    Learning alot here, if I were looking at a '05 Pete. Reading the posts,most o/o's suggest a new o/o should be able to do work on his on truck. Like 4 wheelers, does Chilton sell service manuals for semi's?

    Same reason your wipers and cruise control never quite work right. The cheapest possible crap designs foisted on the market out of apathy and pure laziness.

    4 wheelers have same brand engines and transmissions in them . I doubt Chilton's would publish truck manuals including all the engine and transmission options . You can buy truck and engine manuals but you'll need software for the trucks and engines .
